TELOS
Telos Systems was founded in 1985 by Steve Church, a former talk show host and radio group engineer. Steve designed the world's first digital telephone-to-broadcast interface system, which significantly improved the technical quality of call-in segments using digital signal processor (DSP) technology. In fact, the Telos 10 telephone hybrid was the very first commercial radio product to employ DSP technology. The ground-breaking Zephyr family of ISDN Transceivers, the first device capable of transmitting 20kHz stereo audio on a single dial-up ISDN phone line, is the most popular codec ever, with over 6000 units in the field worldwide. Today, Telos Systems is the world's leading providers of broadcast telephony solutions. The company performs advanced research and development in the areas of digital signal processing, MPEG, telecommunications and computer networking. Telos remains committed to designing innovative products to help broadcasters get the most out of new technologies as they are developed.
