OMNIA
Frank Fotti introduced his first product, the Vigilante multi-band limiter, in 1985. Stations that used the Vigilante kept this "secret weapon" behind security covers so that the competition would not know what they were using. In June of 1988 Cutting Edge was launched. Extensive research, traveling and consulting had given Frank the knowledge to build the kind of processor radio demanded, and in 1991 Cutting Edge released the Unity 2000i, one of the first audio processors to use the power of digital signal processing (DSP) to achieve better sound. Cutting Edge became a part of Telos Systems in 1992, and was later renamed Omnia Audio. Introduced in 1997, Omnia DSP-based digital audio processors for FM, AM and Internet-based broadcasters have become the standard of loudness, clarity and digital purity by which others are judged.
