Genelec presentation
The expert meeting was held in the conference centre of City Hotel in Ljubljana. The representatives of Finnish company Genelec prepared a short presentation of their history, production plants and principles. This was followed by a lecture about the basics of acoustics, with emphasis on the expansion of sound waves, appropriate accoustic treatment of the room and optimal placement of speakers. After the theoretical part, we had a practical demonstration of the Genelec Loudspeaker Manager (GLM™) software, which manages all the functions of active DSP speakers, and Genelec AutoCal™ automated room calibration and sound system alignment method. At the end, we could test the Genelec 8260 3-way DSP system - a new member of the TEC Award-winning 8200 Series. Official part of the meeting ended with some refreshments and an opportunity for socializing and exchanging views and experiences. Here you can see some of the pictures from the event:
